Simply make a pile of all the colours you want to use in your pom poms. I bet you won’t be able to resist a little song and dance with them too! I find a cotton pompom feels a little more like a tassel rather than a pom pom. Yes, your pom pom won’t be quite as big as you originally started out with, but the end result will be a thicker, fuller-and rounder-pom pom. However cotton yarn is not so suitable to make a fluffy pom pom. When you’re done making your pom pom, trim it a LOT. Just make sure you can still close the pom pom maker, otherwise you may have to unravel a bit. The more yarn you fill your pom pom maker with, the fuller your pom pom will look. Fill your pom pom maker with a lot of yarn In the picture below, you can see the difference between a softer yarn on the left and Red Heart Super Saver yarn on the right. To make a pom-pom, cut two circles of cardboard, the diameter depends on the size of the pom-pom to be made, and should be equal to the size of the finished pom. But there are tons of soft yarns out there, so experiment and find what works for you. I’ve had really good luck with this brand and I believe this yarn is the exact one I use in my videos. Soft yarn will naturally give you a fluffy pom pom, and you probably won’t even have to do anything extra.
